Buddha means "enlightened" one. And one can hardly argue that Jesus wasn't enlightened. This is from my Texan Book of the Dead exhibit, comparing and contrasting Eastern and Western views of permanence and impermanence, life and death, and what comes after. This painting blends common Eastern or Buddhist iconography with Christian bible symbols.
