The Velvet Underwear
Andy Warhol promoted and managed a 1960's avant-garde band named The Velvet Underground. The mylar in the background is a nod to the floating pillows made of the newly-invented stuff that made their debut at a show at Warhol's "Factory." There is no historical evidence that Andy wore red velvet underwear. But if he didn't, he really should have. (Original: acrylic-painted illustration board and red velvet mounted on mylar-covered canvas.)
